When you purchase bulk beef, you will have two costs: the beef and the processing. Payment for your beef is made to Cherry Fork Farms. Cherry Fork Farms Requires a $200 deposit to secure your beef at the time of order.

Your final payment for your beef is determined by the weight of your animal and will be determined the day your beef is taken to the butcher. Current Price $2.50 lb Hanging Weight. (hanging weight is the weight of the cow carcass after initial slaughter and processing. It's the weight of the carcass after the hide, head and some organs have been removed. The actual meat you will receive is typically 60% +/- of the hanging weight.)

Payment for processing your bulk beef is a separate cost and is made to the butcher. The butcher will contact you to go over cutting and packing instructions. Don’t worry if it is your first time they will walk you through the process. Your beef will not be released without full payment for both beef and processing.

The prices below are estimates including processing based on average-sized beef. Your cost may vary based on the weight of your animal. 

  • Quarter Beef Average Price Range: $525 – $625 (you will receive 90-100 lbs or more packaged beef)
  • Half Beef Average Price Range: $1,050 – $1,225 (you will receive 210-225  lbs or more packaged beef)
  • Whole Beef Average Price Range: $2,450 – $3,200 (you will receive 420-435 lbs or more packaged beef)
